Floors wear differently than walls

Bathroom floor grout takes foot traffic, grit from shoes, mop water, and splash from the tub. It darkens fastest in walkways and around the toilet, and it erodes until joints sit noticeably below the tile edge. Recessed joints collect dirt and are almost impossible to clean.

The floor regrouting process

We grind out joints to a consistent depth, vacuum thoroughly, and steam sanitize at 220°F before packing new grout flush with the tile. The floor is then color sealed or grouted in epoxy for maximum stain resistance. The perimeter along the tub and the base of the toilet is finished with silicone, since those joints move and should not be grouted.

Combining with shower work

Many homeowners regrout the floor in the same visit as the shower so the whole bathroom shares one fresh, consistent grout color. Combining the two in one visit saves on setup and gives a finished result across the room.

Quoting a floor by size and tile

Floor scope depends on square footage and tile size, since small mosaic tile has far more grout line per square foot. Send a photo of the full floor with something for scale and we will quote a flat price.
